Created a photo spot "Sashiba no Tsubasa" with local elementary school students (2020 9)
Yesterday, in the terminal, I completed a mural with the motif of "Sashiba no Tsubasa" with local elementary school students from Irabu Island.
"Sashiba" is a migratory bird that has long been known to herald the arrival of autumn, flying around Irabu Island every year in 10.
On the day of the event, after learning about design, mural painting techniques, sashiba, etc., they actually made their own work.
The children were very interested in the process of creating the murals and seemed to enjoy themselves.
The design is based on the image of Sashiba dancing at dusk, and is finished with a detailed wing pattern and background gradation.
Please come and visit the new photo spot we made together.
- Design, production and instruction: Takumi Atelier Mr. Takumi Kitada
- Cooperation: Japan Nature Conservation Society (Sashiba picture supervision), Yui no Hashi Gakuen (Mural production)
