We visited Miyuki Hamaguchi of "Hamaguchi Suisan" and asked her about "Bonito and Tuna Tsukudani" and "Namaribushi Abura Miso" recently developed in collaboration with "Miyako Shimojishima Airport Terminal" (*1). I was.

In this second installment of our project to introduce the creators of the island, we interviewed Mr. Shinobu Yamashiro of Irabu Mango Farm. Mr. Yamashiro is a mango farmer on Irabu Island.
For mangoes, there is a process in the order of flowering, pollination, fruiting, sorting, fishing, bagging, and harvesting. Thank you.

In the Miyako Islands, there are many enthusiastic creators who create agricultural products, processed foods, crafts, etc. that make use of the characteristics of the region.
Therefore, I would like to introduce each creator, focusing on the products handled at the souvenir shop "the Shop" in the airport.

The first is Mr. Masamitsu Sadoyama, a beekeeper.
Mr. Sadoyama is a ceramic artist who is still active today, and the Shisa that is displayed at the entrance of the terminal and at the water basin is also his work.
This time, I visited an apiary on Irabu Island to cover beekeeping.

This is the 4th installment of the "Visiting the Creators of the Island" project, and we visited Ren Hokazono of "Adanha Koubou Ling Tote Ai".

For the 3th installment of our project to introduce the creators of the island, we visited Miyanohana.
"Miyanohana" is located on Irabu Island, which is adjacent to Shimoji Island, where Shimoji Island Airport is located, and they also brew "Awamori Shimojishima2019", a limited product in collaboration with "Miyako Shimojishima Airport Terminal".
